current faves.

It's finally Friday! I have never been so happy!
And because I'm so happy, here are a few things I'm currently loving!

hint, hint.  feel free to use this as a christmas shopping guide family :)
Ha. Let's be real.  I have quite the tuition bill to pay & would much rather that!

Anyways... forget about tuition, back to the fun stuff!

1//  I am currently bored of my camera strap so I wouldn't mind this super cute one.
2//  I love this company & if I could, I'd take one of everything, starting with this iphone case.
3//  I'm not normally a watch girl but this one is just fabulous.
4//  We all know I'm a make-up product junkie, resulting in me needing this.
5//  Lately, thanks to work, I wear nothing but exercise clothes. Judge me. So I at least try to look cute while not getting ready, Nike usually does the job.

Have a great weekend everyone!

cinnamon sugar bites.

I find Sunday night's to be the best nights to cook! Recently, I feel like we haven't made anything but chocolate chip cookies & brownies. So tonight we decided to switch things up!  We stole a recipe from my aunt for Cinnamon Sugar Bites & boy, were they good!  So good, I thought I'd share the recipe!
It's actually a bad recipe because I just eyed the whole thing... Sorry guys, I will do my best to estimate it! But it's such an easy recipe, you can't mess it up!

 Cinnamon Sugar Bites
- 1 can of pillsbury biscuits
- 4 tbs butter
- 1 cup cinnamon sugar mix

- powder sugar
- milk
- vanilla
Simple, cut each biscuit into 4-6 pieces, dip them in the butter, roll them around in the cinnamon sugar mix & place them into muffin tins.   Preheat & cook the oven according to biscuit instructions.  If your feeling the need for icing, I just through some powder sugar, milk & vanilla together to taste & drizzled over the bites!
Best served warm! Enjoy!

Holy crap. Six Months. Half a Year.
How have we been married this long?!
I swear this was just yesterday!
Before we were married, Kalvin & I had heard from everyone "Marriage is hard".  Part of me was always like, what does that even mean?! What's hard about it? Is "hard" a bad thing or is it just hard to adjust?
I was always just a little nervous because of all this "marriage is hard" talk.
Not because I was nervous about marrying Kalvin - Psh.. haha That was a no brainer - but because I was afraid I wasn't going to be the best wife, that it would be too hard for me or he'd deserve better!
Well guys, we are here to tell you... Marriage is hard! But maybe not the kind of "hard" you think it will be.
Each morning it gets harder & harder to get out of bed because all you want to do is stay snuggled up with each other & forget about all your worries.  That's hard.  Every night we put off homework to watch our shows & catch up.  That gets pretty rough.  It will be 11:30 pm & Kalvin mentions the word snack & next thing we know we are in some drive-thru ordering ice cream & fries. That's definitely not good!  See guys, marriage is sooo hard ;)
Hopefully you see where I am going.. Marriage is only as hard as you make!
Sure, we have had to make some adjustments. We have learned what works & what doesn't.
We decided we didn't want to fight, so we don't.  We decided we would put each other first, so that's what we do.  Trust me, we aren't perfect but we are trying.
Now, what we have learned from 6 months of marriage:

+Kalvin doesn't think it's a real meal unless it has meat in it, meatless meals are just snacks.
+saving money for babies & a future home is WAY better than having the cute clothes.
+on that note, I thought I was baby hunger before I got married... it's a whole new level now.
[kalvin is rolling his eyes & laughing at this]
+i hate giving back massages.. uhhh. but i do it, just for you babe ;)
+Kalvin will never go to yoga with me.  I have tried everything guys. Nothing works.

Even though I make fun of Morgan's obsession with decorating, I sure do love a "homey" home +
When Morgan says "lets take a picture" she means pictures +
She doesn't like when I use the decorative towels. I do it anyways, they are just closer to the shower +
it's better to get dressed after Morgan because she will make change to match her anyways +
Morgan sucks at back massages +

Basically, I just love my husband & don't know what I would do without him!
Here to a million more months together!

Formals I The Capital Building

Okay everyone, don't mind me.  I just found all our engagement & formal posts sitting as drafts.
So don't mind me as I publish things that are clearly out of date! However, I do love them so I don't mind :)
I just adore these.  I have always loved the Capital Building & knew it would be perfect for both some 'fancy' engagements & our formals. You can check out our engagements from this shoot here.

^Chicken Pesto Lasagna Rolls, not as pretty as theirs but still good!^

I love finding new recipes on pinterest - especially if they turn out yummy!
However, I am pro at losing the recipes or forgetting about them!

I have tried the whole recipe book thing & it just didn't work for me! It's much easier for me to whip out my phone & search for any given recipe on pinterest or the internet. So to keep track of all these tried recipes, I created a new pinterest board called "tried it, loved it".  Not only to remember the recipes we loved, but I have also left little notes about each recipe so I can remember the next time I make it!

Guys, you've gotta check out some of these recipes! Some are super, super easy - others take some time, but totally worth it! You have to try the Chicken Pot Pie Casserole!

If you have any recipes you think we'd love, let me know!
