#trailerlife - our summer adventure

[thank you grandparents for letting us borrow your lovely trailer]
Yep, we are all about the #trailerlife now.
Kalvin likes to joke "sometimes we are trailer trash but mainly trailer class" haha.
For several years now, Kalvin spends his breaks in an oil field located in the middle of nowhere aka Wyoming. As we began to make plans for life after the wedding, it became obvious that the best financial decision for us was to spend the summer in Wyoming where Kalvin can work.
It was also obvious that our housing options would be pretty slim too.
Kalvin normal lives in the "man cave" with a few other friends of his but he can't live their no more, he's a married man.  But they are nice enough to let me borrow the cave during the day for things like laundry & working out. ya know, the important things in life. psh.
Due to lack of housing and the outrageous pricing of the "housing" there was... we picked the trailer.
Can you blame us? All we do is pay for hook ups and we are golden! And apparently, it's the cool thing to do out here in the oil fields.
So, here we are, in what I feel like is the middle of nowhere but I have never been happier! I have found lots of things to keep me preoccupied but I still spend most of the day counting down to 4:30 pm but who wouldn't if you had a hot hubby like mine?!

Now, I am off to make celebration cupcakes! Why?
Because it's friday [hello weekend] & we have officially been married three weeks!

my summer must haves in as little of words as possible.
because i could go on & on about some of these but i won't, just for you.
1// Too Faced Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer
left side is a typical bronzer, right side is a pretty shimmery-gold color. use one side or the other, or mix them together. bam, 3-in-1!

2// Cute Hair Ties
cute hair ties helps me justify my everyday ponytails.

3// Not Your Mothers Sea Salt Spray
get that "dirty hair" feel & texture without having to go days without actually washing your hair. oh, and it smells sooo good.

4// Coconut Oil Weightless Mist
makes my hair shiny & smells delicious. that's really the only reason I use it.

5// Baby Lips
I don't need to explain these, everyone & their dog knows how great these are.  And if you don't, just go buy one, you'll see.

6// Tinted Moisturizer
I am currently using Prevention + by Image Skincare, its a great lightweight moisturizer with a beautiful color & SPF 30. I buy mine from our family friend/esthetician but I am pretty sure you can purchase it online.
nothing too great or new, but they are my current summer staples!
what are some of your summer must haves?

Honeymoon Overload

and.. just like that the honeymoon is over.
honeymoons are mean.
beautiful views, warm weather, endless food, no worries.
and then just like that, reality is smacking you in the face as you touchdown in SLC airport.
however.....while you are "honeymooning" they are fabulous!
we had the most amazing week in Cozumel! Everything from the weather to the area was perfect!
we spent a lot of time at the beach, hanging out around the resort & in town.
it was so nice just to relax & spend time with each other again.
so as always, here comes a picture overload.
our resort was right on the beach - gorgeous!
The water was so warm & clear there it was amazing!
Although I HATE open water & fish, I decided to be tough and try out this snorkeling excursion Kalvin wanted to go on [great wife, i know].  It was really cool, lots of pretty fish but... I stayed in the boat on the last stop, I had enough fishies.
On the third day, we rented a car and drove around the island! We stopped at a bunch of little beaches and huts. Our main visit was to Punta Sur, where were able to go to the top of this old lighthouse. The view was incredible!
  the fruit was the best
We were told by friends Coconuts Bar was a must! It was this bar located right on the side of the cliff, overlooking the ocean. It definitely more of an "adult" bar but it was delicious!  Just don't open any photo books they bring around... you'll see some coconuts for sure!
Through the entire trip all I wanted to do was drink from a coconut.  I was pretty stoked when they brought out a bunch of coconuts to the pool and started cutting them up!
The drinks were soo good there. I am pretty sure I lived off of Banana Mama's all week.
We also took a ride around the south side of the island on that cute little sailboat! Because of Kalvin spoke Spanish, we were able to get so many hooks up, like an extra long ride to a private beach!
We also visited the Mayan Ruins!
We were known as the "honeymooners" everywhere we went.
The vacation was perfect! I was so grateful for some quality time with my new hubby!
[And yes, I am that annoying girl who now overuses the word "husband"]
But, more than anything, our wedding day was perfect! It was all one big blur and we were left exhausted but it was easily the best day ever! I can't wait to share it!

I can officially say TOMORROW.
Tomorrow I am getting married to the man of my dreams!
Given the rain, new location, late nights & anything else that could happen
I am sooo.... you name it - happy, excited, stressed, anxious, emotional.
aka a basket case!
But.. most of all, I am excited!
I can't wait to begin this new chapter in my life!
Or like Kalvin would say, he just can't wait to hang out again!
We will be leaving Friday, for a week, to sunny Cozumel, Mexico.
I can't wait to come back and share, what I am sure will be, an amazing day with you!
Wish us luck!!
